Isabel
Evans
Isabel Evans
has nearly 20 years experience in the IT industry, mainly in quality management,
testing, training and documentation. She has helped organisations in development
of procedures, standards and methods to aid testing of software during
development and maintenance projects. She has managed test groups, and
performed testing design and development for acceptance and system testing
of packages and bespoke systems. She has also provided Quality Assurance
Support, Release Management, and Customer Support for IT organisations.
Isabel is the author and an accredited tutor for an ISEB
accredited Foundation Certificate in Software Testing course. She has
presented at EuroSTAR, Quality Forum, the BCS SIGIST and at the Year 2000
and Euro Summit in Rome. She is an active member of the BCS Special Interest
Group in Software Testing Standards Working Party and her company is a
member of the British Quality Foundation.
She taught in a UK Middle School for 4 years, working
with children of a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities. She has
also trained adults, in quality management, project management, testing
and documentation skills. Isabel read for her degree and post graduate
qualification as a mature student, and before graduating worked as a lab
technician, a cook and as a programmer/tester.

Erik
van Veenendaal
Drs. Erik
P.W.M. van Veenendaal CISA has been working in as a practitioner and manager
within the area of software quality for a great number of years carrying
out assignments in the field of quality management, project control, EDP-auditing
and software testing. Within this area he specializes in software testing
and is the author of a number of books, e.g. "Structured testing; an introduction
to TMap" and "Software quality from a business perspective".
As a test manager and test consultant he has been involved in a great
number and variety of projects, has implemented structured testing and
carried out test process improvements activities in a large number of
organisations. He is a regular speaker both at national and international
testing conferences and a leading international trainer in the field of
software testing. Erik van Veenendaal is the founder and managing director
of Improve Quality Services, a company that provides services in the area
of quality management and testing.
At the Eindhoven University of Technology, Faculty of Technology Management,
Erik is part-time involved in lecturing and research activities. He is
on the Dutch standards institute committee for software quality and the
current chairman of the Dutch working group on embedded software testing
(WEB).
David
Hayman
David has
been in software for 16 years, the last 12 years in testing. All of that
time has been spent as a practitioner with the last 7 years in senior
roles defining and implementing test strategies and managing teams of
IT and business testers. He has considerable technical and practical experience,
testing and implementing applications across a variety of infrastructure
platforms, for both public and private sector applications and clients.
He brings
his long and varied practical experience to his training and presentation
work. David is an active member of the SIGIST sponsored working party
defining a standard for non-functional testing.
Chris
Comey
Chris has
been involved in the testing arena for over 20 years. Initially from a
telecommunications background he has tested computer systems and developments
across a number of industries including telecommunications, electricity,
financial, banking, gaming, and a wide variety of Internet based WEB sites.
Chris has first hand experience in the roles of test analyst, test co-ordinator,
test team leader/manager and test consultant, and has tested products
ranging from individual components up to the integration of large systems,
whilst managing to retain his sense of humour and his sanity (maybe!).
He has worked as a testing practitioner using a number of different software
development approaches ranging from RAD/DSDM through to the more traditional
lifecycles such as the V-model.
Having delivered
training courses on UAT, testing basics, VV&T, and the ISEB foundation
course he has a balance of theoretical and practical skills and understands
how to apply the theory in the real world.
Chris is an
accredited ISEB trainer for delivery of the Foundation Certificate in
Software Testing and is a member of the BCS Special Interest Group in
Software Testing (SIGIST).
Rob Hendriks
Rob Hendriks has over five years experience in the field of software
quality, with great emphasis in software testing for embedded software
systems. In the last few years he has been active as a test manager and
quality consultant in projects for consumer electronics and professional
systems. He regularly runs courses in the area of inspections and
testing and is specialised in the field of test techniques. Rob is co-
organiser of the Study group EmBedded software testing (WEB), a
consortium of companies, both suppliers as well as customer
organisations, who are active in the field of technical automation.
